Consumer Friendly Definition and FAQ
Case Management assists people to navigate through the healthcare and community systems to find solutions that work.
Over the past year,
- The Task Force has assembled multiple definitions of case management
- The Task Force created a draft consumer definition for consideration and recommendation by CMLC members
- It has conducted a survey of consumer responses to the question "I know my case manager has done a good job because..."
- The PR materials CMSA has produced to support National Case Management Week also outline for the consumer several situations in which case management is employed.
- The Task Force now brings a revised definition/description utilizing all of the above input to the CMLC for approval
